Lewis gets contract extension
The Cincinnati Bengals have extended the contract of coach Marvin Lewis a further two-years after the Bengals made it to the playoffs for the first time in 15 years.
Team owner Mike Brown said in a statement released by the team, "Marvin has done a wonderful job for the football club on the field and off, and we want to reward his efforts and continue the relationship well into the future,"

The new deal will see Lewis coach the Bengals until 2010. The Bengals have also announced that their entire coaching staff will return next season.
Lewis, who led Cincinnati to its first winning record in 16 seasons said, "The stability of our excellent staff will be a key as we continue building toward a world championship team,"
