Gerrard wants England Captaincy
After a poor World Cup Finals, Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has said he wants to take over the Captains armband from David Beckham.
Gerrard said, "Obviously I'd love to captain the country. There is no better feeling than leading the country out but that's up to Steve McClaren."

Chelsea skipper John Terry is Beckham's likely successor with Gerrard's poor showing at the World Cup likely to leave him battling for a place in new manager, Steve McLaren's starting 11.
The new Captain will have to be named before England kick off their Euro 2008 campaign at home against Andorra. England will face Croatia, Russia, Israel, Estonia, Macedonia and Andorra in Group E.
