Kessler defeats Mundine
Mikkel Kessler won a unanimous points decision over Australian challenger Anthony Mundine in their WBA super middleweight title at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. Kessler improved his record to an impressive 36 wins and no losses after the judges scored the fight 116-112 117-113 and 120-108 in his favour.

Mundine could be heading back to rugby league sooner rather than later as his boxing career stalled last night. Suffering his third loss as a professional boxer, the former WBA title-holder Mundine is expected to return to the NRL ranks with a 23 win 3 loss record after five years in the boxing game.
