Traver beats Jones jr.

Antonio Traver retained the IBO light heavyweight crown after he scored a 12-round decision over former title holder Roy Jones Jr. once regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Jones Jr. has lost two of his last three fights after winning 49 of his first 50.

Both losses, have been to Traver, the first was some 16 months ago when knocked out in the second round. Traver almost knocked out the former champion again in the 11th round but had to settle for a points decision. The judges scored it 116-112 on two cards and 117-111 on the third.

Jones Jr. said he was unsure if that would be his last fight. "I'm a true champion, being the champion I am, I may come back.''
