College Bowl Season
The College Bowl season is gaining momentum ahead of the season finale on Jan 4 featuring USC Trojans and the Texas Longhorns in the Rose Bowl.
Bowl Season continues on Friday with four Bowls to be decided. No.9 Miami (FL) Hurricanes face off against No.10 LSU Tigers in the Peach Bowl tomorrow evening at the Georgia Dome. This game should prove popular with sports betting fans with this game one of only three Bowl games featuring two top 10 combatants. The Tigers lead this all-time series 8-3. Can they continue the trend against an LSU outfit that struggled on offensive after losing their quarterback in the SEC title game?
The action continues on Monday with No.5 Notre Dame finally getting back to the big time after a five year absence when they do battle with No.4 Ohio St in the Fiesta Bowl. The Fighting Irish have won seven straight since a last gasp loss to No. 1 ranked USC. Unfortunately the Irish have lost seven straight Bowl games too. Will head coach Charlie Weis prove to be the difference for the Irish when they take on the Buckeyes?

No. 11 West Virginia and No. 8 Georgia Bulldogs do battle in the Sugar Bowl to be played at the Georgia Dome. The Bulldogs are making their eighth appearance in the Sugar Bowl after being freely tipped to struggle this season after losing quarterback David Greene and defensive palyers David Pollack and Odell Thurman to the NFL. West Virginia is playing in its third Sugar Bowl and is still looking for its first win. Will the Dogs be barking to celebrate a fourth Sugar Bowl win for the Bulldogs?
No.3 Penn St. look to have a mortgage on the Orange Bowl when they face No. 22 Florida State. The Nittany Lions claimed their first Big Ten title in 11 years under 79-year-old Joe Paterno who is just six victories behind Seminoles coach Bobby Bowden's record of 359. Will Penn St. cover the spread as they cap off a great year?
Bowl Season ends next Wednesday when the No. 1 USC Trojans and the No. 2 Texas Longhorns do battle in the 92nd Rose Bowl. The Trojans are shooting for a second straight undefeated season and with Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush and star quarterback Matt Leinart the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner tilting this one heavily in favor of USC completing a third consecutive Rose Bowl success in Pasadena.
