NHL make TV deal
The NHL has signed off on a deal to show NHL games on the Outdoor Life Network for at least the next two seasons. The agreement will bring in $65 million this season and $70 million in 2006-07. The league finalized a two-year deal with Comcast Corp after regular broadcaster of NHL games, ESPN decided to pass on extending their current arrangement on Wednesday night.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said when announcing the new deal, "Over the years, thousands of great NHL moments were presented to our fans through the lenses of ESPN cameras. ESPN was a supportive partner, and both the National Hockey League and ESPN enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship. We wish ESPN continued success.''
