Hamlin then punched the dead man before a third man intervened knocking Hamlin to the ground. Security broke the fight out and kept the men separated. Hamlin was determined to finish the fight, breaking free to go after the men.
The club's owner, Larry Culp, said Hamlin had plenty of chances to walk away from the incident. Culp claimed Hamlin "went out of his way'' to provoke a fight.
Security footage shows Hamlin breaking free from the clubs security guards and setting off after the assailants had already backed down from the situation. Hamlin was found a short time later lying at an intersection with no memory of events.
